Let's Stop HIV Together Health Event

LULAC Council #47013 hosted "Let's Stop HIV Together Health Fair" this past week, December 11th at Vancouver's downtown Community Library. This event offered FREE testing to the community by Cascade Aids Project.
This event is part of the League of United Latin American Citizens? Let?s Stop HIV Together Healthy Communities Program, which focuses on bringing attention to the HIV/AIDS epidemic among the Latino community. Latinos are disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS, with nearly 11,000 Latinos being diagnosed in 2013. LULAC will continue to host similar event across the country by engaging its local and collegiate councils. Learn more at: https://lulac.org/salud/

We had fun, learned about planned parenthood, won some prizes, got tested for HIV, had our blood pressure checked, ate some awesome tamales and champurrado! Thank you Cascade Aids Project for the testing. Today's event focused on young adults and education on HIV/AIDS. #LULAC
